Arborist Action
If you can climb, rig and put wood on the ground safely, we want you on a crew. Pay is $2,000 to $3,000 a week depending on what you can do. We are not asking how many years you have been doing this. Bring your own saddle and climbing line and we will supply everything else.
You are the one in the tree. You set your line, work your way up, and take the tree apart piece by piece so the crew below can keep moving. Trimming one day, a removal the next. Our crews work all over Volusia County, so you are on real trees every day, not sitting around waiting on work.
Get up there, get tied in and get positioned. How you set up decides how the whole job goes.
Nothing comes down unsupported. Rig it, control it and land it where it is supposed to go.
Some days you are shaping a tree back, some days you are taking the whole thing out. You do both.
The ground guys work off you. When you are efficient in the tree, the whole job finishes clean and on time.
We are not counting your years. We care that you own your gear and know what to do with it.
This one is required. You bring your saddle and your climbing line. If you own your gear, you have climbed. That is the only experience test we run.
There is no set number of years we are looking for. Show us you can climb and rig safely and the rest sorts itself out.
You need a dependable way to get yourself to and from the office. We roll out from there as a crew.
This is a drug free workplace. Everyone on the team is held to it, no exceptions.
Not required, but we would rather hire someone who is looking at this as a career than a stopgap.
Also not required. But if running equipment and getting a CDL down the road interests you, say so. There is a path here for it.
Where you land in that range comes down to what you can do in the tree. Better climber, better check.
Saws, ropes, rigging, chipper, trucks, the whole kit. You bring your saddle and your line, we cover the rest.
You will learn from guys who have been doing this a long time, and there is room to move up as you get better.
If you want it, there is a route from climbing into running the big equipment and getting your CDL.
You roll out with the crew and work jobs across the whole county. The shop is in New Smyrna Beach, so that is where your day starts and ends.
Proper equipment, rigging done properly and safety taken seriously on every single job.
Name, number and a few quick questions. No resume needed.
We talk through what you have climbed, the gear you own and when you could start.
Come out with a crew, get in a tree and show us how you work. Then get on the schedule.
No resume needed. We call or text you back.
Thanks for applying. Someone from our office will call or text you shortly. Want to reach us first? Call 386-675-5410.
If you own your gear and you can climb, fill out the quick application and we'll call you. If you'd rather just talk it through first, call the office and ask about the climbing position.
